Class Information
-
Our hybrid course includes 5 in-person classes and online coursework.
-
You will also complete 20 hours of online course work.
-
3 sessions are led by guest speakers on driving-related topics.
-
A 50 minute presentation on railroad safety.
-
A 2 hour presentation from a Iowa State Trooper who will present on a number of topics including:
-
cell phone laws
-
school/work permit law
-
distracted driving
-
defensive driving
-
driving under the influence
-
consequences for our actions when we are behind the wheel
-
etc.

A 2 hour presentation from ABATE of Iowa.

Included in the total of 30 hours:
-
4 hours of substance abuse education
-
20 minutes on railroad crossing safety
-
Organ donation awareness
-
Sharing the road with bicycles and motorcycles
-
-
6 hours of behind-the-wheel driving with a certified instructor.
-
6 hours of observation with a driving partner.

IN THE EVENT PARENTS WOULD LIKE THEIR STUDENT TO HAVE MORE DRIVE TIME PRACTICE, WE OFFER EXTRA DRIVE TIMES AT A RATE OF $40 PER HOUR.
