How old do I have to be to take driver's education?

You must be 14 years old to take driver's education.

How much does the class registration cost?

$445(If paying with Venmo, there is a small convenience fee)

What if I miss a class?

You are required by law to complete 30 hours. Missed classes can be made up at a rate of $40 per hour.

Is my registration fee refundable?

Yes, you may receive a full refund of your registration fee ($445.00) up to the start of class.

​

Can I get a refund after class starts?

No. Once class begins, all fees are non-refundable.

​

When can I take Driver’s Education?
You must be at least 14 years old and have a valid instruction permit at the start of the class.

​

Do I have to take Driver’s Education in my own school district?
No. You may take the course outside your school district.

​

What are the state requirements for Driver’s Education?

• 30 hours of classroom/online instruction

• Our hybrid course includes 5 in-person classes and online coursework

• 3 sessions are led by guest speakers on driving-related topics

• Included in the 30 hours:

  • 4 hours of substance abuse education

  • 20 minutes on railroad crossing safety

  • Organ donation awareness

  • Sharing the road with bicycles and motorcycles

• 6 hours of behind-the-wheel driving

• 6 hours of observation with a driving partner

(Located at the intersection of Highway 71 and County Road A-34)​

What if I miss my scheduled driving time?
Missed drive sessions must be rescheduled and will cost $40 per hour.​​
