When can I take Driver’s Education?
You must be at least 14 years old and have a valid instruction permit at the start of the class.
Do I have to take Driver’s Education in my own school district?
No. You may take the course outside your school district.
What are the state requirements for Driver’s Education?

30 hours of classroom/online instruction

Our hybrid course includes 5 in-person classes and online coursework

3 sessions are led by guest speakers on driving-related topics

Included in the 30 hours:

4 hours of substance abuse education

20 minutes on railroad crossing safety

$445

How do I register?

Where are the classroom sessions held?
At St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Milford
(Located at the intersection of Highway 71 and County Road A-34)
What if I miss a class?
You are required by law to complete 30 hours. Missed classes can be made up at a rate of $40 per hour.
What if I miss my scheduled driving time?
Missed drive sessions must be rescheduled and will cost $40 per hour.
Is my deposit refundable?
Yes—minus a $40 processing fee if canceled before class begins.
Can I get a refund after class starts?
No. Once class begins, all fees are non-refundable.
